summer's finally here! The sun is shining, homework is non-existent, studying is unthinkable, and i'm relaxed and happy.
BUT. i cannot play DoTA. *sad face* partially my fault i guess. My brother wanted to learn how to play DoTA but seeing as we only have one copy of Frozen Throne, I told him to get a key generator (shhhh.). So he did. Then Blizzard decided to lay down the law on us (or me) and proceeded to block my IP. When I discovered this I FLIPPED. almost literally. I was like on my feet. (just kidding). I decided to research my little problem and lo behold, their technical forum states that my IP can be blocked from anywhere within a range of 72 Hours to 2 weeks. 2 WEEKS. What am I going to DO?! This was supposed to be the highlight of my summer. But now I might not be able to play DoTA for TWO WEEKS. *distressed face* so I've been wasting my time moping and groaning trying to find another way to vent out my frustration. I played GTA for a bit, shooting things, blowing up cars and it relieved my distress a little. But now I am posting up my feelings about my predicament on my blog. WHICH I find out has entertained many people and inspired them to which I am eternally grateful. i like comments *grin face*(hint hint)
anyhoo. moving on from my depression and angst. "angst. angst. angst. angst."
Tomorrow's like the true beginning of summer because it'll like be the first day when we're USUALLY in school. but we're NOT. *shock face* so that'll be nice. *smile face*
yeah so I think this'll be a good time to explain the reason that i'm not actually using faces and saying *____ face*. So my brother showed me this thing called Arby and the Chief. And if you guys don't know my enthusiasm and slight addiction that I have for Halo, then you are not a true friend. (sorry to break the truth to you guys) It's really slightly entertaining in a very stupid and dense way. It appeals to the most primitive senses of the humans. So both of the characters talk in 1337 talk. (haha) and Chief (one of the characters if you didn't get it from the title) occasionally does the face thing and the subtitles show the :( but he says saaaad face. teehee. So I thought it was funny and decided to use it somewhere. (maybe). look it up on youtube. it's funny. harharhar
GOING ON. We had our sophomore picnic yesterday which I must say was a SUCCESS. Hah. did your previous StuCo try stuff like that? (just kidding I love you guys). I was slightly worried that it might go OUT OF CONTROL AHHH. but it didnt *grin face*For all of you who didn't go, YOU MISSED OUT. we even had extra buns and wieners for you. (harharhar. buns and wieners. i crack myself up. hohoho) I don't know what we did with them. so you guys might have just caused like a huge waste of food. tsk tsk tsk. shame. but i'm sure you had a good reason for not bonding with your fellow classmates who you will undergo the trial and torture of junior year with. I'm sure you had a completely legit excuse. It's okay. We don't feel bad because you forgot about us and decided not to show up. We had fun without you. Just kidding. WE MISSED YOU ALL. Yeah so the picnic was a success. We had a slight bump in the beginning when we discovered that people reserved tables 3 months in advance and silly us, we only thought of the event last week. But that was okay because my mom brought over a table for us. Our grilling was a success and the food was nice and toasty. We were actually going to get some KFC but never got around to it. Sorry guys. I think it would have been a huge waste of food anyway. THANK YOU to all of those who brought something to share. Those brownies especially. They were delicious. *yum face* The park was humongous. There were water playthings, a baseball field, like 5 basketball courts, a huge field, another huge field, and grills. So yeah I think we picked the right park.
wow. this was a long post. I'm plumb out of things to say. NOT.
So i've been receiving Time the magazine for a few years now. Lately the highlight of the magazine has been the very last page where they have like mini essay sorta things. Yeah actually they're called Essays. I just checked. Anyway, they're about all sorts of different things that the reader has feelings about. Like this weeks issue had someone talking about their daughter's elementary school graduation. (quite moving and well written) All of these essays have been really good and interesting to read and it makes me want to write about things to. Not essays like those that we write in school but about topics that make me want to write essays. I guess that's kind of why I started this blog. As a way for me to start writing about things I want to write about where I can get feedback and things. Gosh. The Time articles are so clever and witty with their little jokes. I wish I could do that. Their random allusions to different things are so NOT random. it's so skillful how they do this. I guess this is why they're publishing articles for a national magazine that's been around for decades. The way they word things are ingenious too. they can turn any random topic into something so clever and amazing it makes me want to plop down and clunk out an essay. I should find something I want to write about. Hmm. This'll be one of my summer goals. to write an essay about something I want to write about.
This reminds me of another topic. So i've been listening to the Adam Carolla show on my ipod for a few months ever since their station got dropped from the bay area *sad face* You guys should listen to it. It's a talk show hosted by Adam Carolla (duh) who used to work on Loveline on 105.3. He's an incredibly intelligent guy and he's hilarious. Like the things he says and talks about are so interesting and clever, it makes me want to say, "why hasn't anyone thought of this before?" This guy didn't even go to college and worked in construction for like 20 years before finally reaching broadcasting industry. and now he's a radio talk show host who can talk hours about a single topic and the listener would never get bored. If the world was full of people like him, it would be a much better place. look up his show and listen to it. seriously.
wow. that really was a long post. that's like longer than all my posts combined. If you read this whole thing without skimming, eye glazing, scrolling over paragraphs, etc. etc. i applaud you. If you did, I don't blame you. *smile face* anyway, im tired now. im out of things to say, sorry to disappoint. I'll have more stuff to say later.
CIAO.
have you seen the movie, P.S. I love comments
(wow what a bad pun.)
